Our Treks

Nui Valley Horse Treking .. situated 1 minute from Rimutaka forrest park .. 30 minutes from Lower Hutt .. 45 minute drive from wellington city .. come for a relaxing trek with fantastic views .. from 1 hour up to 3+

 

We are situated on a secluded farm in Wainuiomata and our treks are right on our doorstep .. Come for a trek on our horses to unwind :)

 

Our first trek is suitable for the beginner to experienced .. this trek is a nice ride  to admire the views of the wellington harbour and on a nice day can see the tips of the south island

 

Our second trek is more for advanced riders which winds around the hill and does have some steep areas with colverts   with views of the valley below.

 

 

 

Before ride leaves there will be a quick briefing also for people that are nervous will be popped on the horse they are riding before hand in our round pen to get the feeling on board before we head off :) We also cater or the little ones with walking around the farm :)

 

All helmets supplied .. all you need to bring is clothing to accomodate the weather .. proper footwear (no gumboots) a good soled shoe with a heel :)

Our horses are mostly ridden bitless but if your wanting to ride in a bridle thats no problem. 

We at the moment only have a small mob of horses which are suitable for beginners up to experienced riders and will add to the herd as we go :) 

Treks are available During the week and weekends by appointment from 1 hour upto 3 + :)
